What this does
Connecting Salesforce lets Inventive push finished documents (proposals, questionnaires) from Inventive back onto the matching Salesforce Opportunity as file attachments. It's a one-time setup, done by an admin.

This is separate from installing the Inventive managed package (which powers the in-Salesforce widget). This connection is the piece that lets Inventive send files into Salesforce.

Before you start
- You need to be an admin in Inventive.
- The Salesforce integration must be available for your organization.
- The Salesforce user who authorizes the connection needs read access to Opportunities and permission to attach files to them — exports run as that user, so their permissions determine what Inventive can read and write.
Steps
- In Inventive, go to Settings → Integrations and find Salesforce.
- Make sure the integration is enabled, then click Check Details to open it.
- In the Salesforce Account Connection section, click Connect to Salesforce.
- You're redirected to Salesforce's standard login & consent screen — sign in and approve access.
- You're returned to Inventive, and the connection is established at the organization level (one connection per org).
That's it — the connection is now active.

If the connection won't complete (Salesforce admin approval)
Salesforce now requires a connected app to be approved/installed by an admin before users can authorize it. If you see an "Install connected app?" prompt, or a blocked / "app not authorized" error when clicking Connect to Salesforce, a Salesforce admin should complete these one-time steps:
